#SweaterWeather

If you couldn't already tell from last week's post, I am more than happy that #sweaterweather is back! I love sweaters more than any other piece of clothing and I spend most of my time at any point in the year looking at jumpers, sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, cardigans, etc. to buy. However, I'm not the only sweater fanatic. Sweater Weather has become a nationwide, actually no scratch that, WORLDWIDE trend that begins as soon as summer transitions into autumn. It's so popular, sweater weather even became the title of the popular song, yup, you guessed it, Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood (which I recommend you add to your Ipods, Iphones, MP3 players right now).

So in honor of my favorite season and time of the year, I've decided to make a five day blog segment called the Five Days of Sweater Weather! (such a creative name, I know). For the next five days, I'll be posting an outfit set I made on Polyvore featuring different fall trends I like and of course, a sweater. This idea was inspired by the a daily sweater slideshow featured on Vogue called 31 days of Sweaters: Cozy Knitwear for Fall (which you should also check out because it has GREAT sweater finds and inspiration).

But first, let's check out the first outfit this week!

Fall #1

On a gloomy, cool day (like today!) why don't you try a grunge-y look by pairing a grey oversized sweater with a burgundy chunky scarf, black combat boots, and a pair of leather (or pleather) black leggings. I love this outfit because it combines the new fall trends of boots and leather leggings but with a simple and comfortable sweater. It's a perfect comfy but put-together look for fall! Pair it with some hipster glasses and bag and you'll be good to go trendy to class!

Check back tomorrow for the second outfit in Five Days of Sweater Weather!

PS. Shout out to my best friend, Francheska, for helping me out with her stylish expertise!

About

I'm Lucy and let's just put it out there that I am not at all a fashionista or style guru. I'm just a senior majoring in marketing at Lehigh University. I created this blog for my Digital Marketing and Social Media class. However, that's not to say I don't find the world of fashion fascinating. I do have an eye for what's in and what's out and I thoroughly enjoy witnessing all the trends that rock the fashion industry. That is why this blog is my baby project. I want to show you why fashion and style isn't just the clothes you put on your body.
